Game Review: GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is a Rockstar North developed Action-Adventure video game, with both single and multiplayer modes. Published by Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto V was released on September 17, 2013, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 console systems. It premiered for Xbox one and PlayStation 4 a year after on November 18, 2014, and for Microsoft windows later on April 14, 2015.

With the setting within San Andreas, a fictional state referenced from Southern California, the single player adventure story line proceeds from three criminals making efforts to commit mission heists while facing high pressures from the state authorities. The game is generally played from either a first or third person view point and it involves the subsequent control of each of the three main characters. Player adventure is highly focused on the Heist missions which often involve driving and shooting gameplay

Grand theft Auto V is the next main title in the GTA series after Grand theft Auto IV released in 2008. Most of the world wide players of other GTA games universally agree that this module is the most beautiful, generous and expansive and by far the craziest and nihilistic. Soon after the release of GTA IV in 2008, the development for the fifth module was started with tasks distributed between the many worldwide Rockstar studios.

The development team, inspired by some of their striking projects like Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption designed the gameplay around these three criminals warranting switch controls from players during and out of missions. The aggression levels in the response of law enforcement authorities to players involved in criminal activities are controlled by a ‘’wanted’’ system. Interestingly, GTA V provides many new outlets to evade and accomplish missions even under intense pressure which requires intuition and skill.

The game’s multiplayer mode known as Grand Theft Auto Online provides the opportunity for up to 30 different players to cooperatively roam free in the open world and possibly engage in competitive missions and matches together. Grand Theft Auto Online was launched two weeks after the release of GTA V including fascinating content features that allow players to create custom jobs with their suitable parameters such as racetrack circuits or deathmatch weapon generation for points, or players congregating to form teams referred to as ‘’crews’’ which collaborate to accomplish missions together.

Crews even created on the multiplayer mode in Max Payne 3 can be extended through Rockstar Games Social Club to Grand Theft Auto Online. With players allowed to create or join a maximum of five crews, experience points can be earned by crews across the world by winning multiplayer matches resulting in deserved placement on online leaderboards.

Wide anticipation combined with extensive marketing led to Grand Theft Auto V smashing existing sales records in the gaming industry to become the fastest ever selling entertainment product. In the first day after release, GTA V earned a staggering $800 million climbing to over $1 billion in the first three days. GTA V particularly received widespread plaudits for its multiplayer design, presentation, open world roam and its real life similar gameplay.

Among the very positive comments on the GTA V game are critics on the violence levels and women depiction. However, it is considered one of the best games ever made winning many Game of the year awards from various publications.
